Chapter 13 Yay!

Ok all...here is another chapter...I have loads more written, so I can still post when school starts. Sis had another pic of Jon at the Jets/Patriots game not too long ago. Love this pic!

The next morning the alarm rang bright and early. They were both so tired, but they were ready to go. Steph picked up the phone and made a few calls. One was to the hotel in Italy checking to see if their rooms could be ready for arriving this morning instead of late tonight like they had planned. The other was to their pilot, confirming the flight time. Once she was done with everything she climbed out of bed and got all of their belongings together and loaded on the cart to take downstairs. Their driver would be arriving in a half hour to take them to the airport and it was time to wake Jon. She walked over to the bed and kissed him firmly on the mouth, and he didn’t wake right away, so she kissed him again and he opened his eyes, and pulled her down on the bed on top of him.
“Morning sunshine,” she said. “As much as I would love to stay in this bed all day with you, we have to get up and get you moving. We have a flight to catch.” She stood up and pulled open the blinds in the room.
“Yeah, and you’re already showered and dressed and ready to go. Love the t-shirt by the way.”
She was wearing the t-shirt the guys gave her when they first arrived in Europe, paired with a jean skirt.
“Thanks,” she said with a grin. “These strange guys gave it to me. It’s the coolest Jovi t-shirt I ever owned.”
He threw a pillow at her. “Come back over here and lay with me just a little while longer. The plane won’t leave without us.”
“Yes, but the guys hate it when we’re late, and,” she said crossing over and kissing him, “It’s part of my job to make sure you’re on time. Besides it was your idea to leave early this morning.”
He pouted as she stood back up, and threw the covers off of him. “Fine,” he said. “I’m up. You know you’re much more of a slave driver than I am.”
“You ain’t seen nothing yet, baby,” she teased, thinking about the next night and actually sleeping with him for the first time.
He walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her and cupped her ass, and pulled her close to him. “I bet when we finally to sleep together, you’ll be calling all the shots.”
She laughed, “I was just thinking the same thing.”
“Does that mean you think you’re ready? I’m calling everyone right now and changing our plans back to later.”
She smiled and shook her head. “Soon though.”
“Good,” he said taking his hand that was cupping her ass and moving it up her skirt. “Because I can’t wait to show you just how much I love you.”
“You already do that,” she said, feeling herself getting wet as his fingers moved closer to her.
“Well than I can’t wait for you to show me how much you love me. Although you already do by allowing me to do this to you,” he took to fingers and quickly slipped them inside of her causing her to let out a soft moan. “Oh I’m sorry,” he teased pulling his fingers out, and just rubbing her wet skin. “We don’t have time for this.”
She groaned softly. “It’s all your fault,” she said, “But we can always the private room on the jet. It is a two hour flight.”
“Mmm…a two hour flight?” he said silkily, “It’s a good thing that room is sound proof. The guys may hear you.” He still was still rubbing her but much faster, she kissed him hard on the mouth. When she broke the kiss, Jon breathed, “How much more time do we have? Time to make you cum for me?” he slipped his fingers inside of her quickly and began moving them pumping them in and out of her, causing her to let out soft moans. He looked at her and grinned. He loved doing this for her and honestly, the sex part didn’t matter all that much to him. As long as he heard her while she was climaxing, he didn’t care. He loved the sounds she made.
“Yesss,” she moaned as he continued to pump his fingers in and out of her. He could feel his own erection grow, and ignored it.
He pumped harder inside of her and she was moaning loudly. “Oh god Jon! I’m going to…”
He felt her walls explode and knew she had just came for him, and happy, he kissed her. “That was hot, and all while standing up in our room.”
She let her breathing calm down and looked at the clock. “You have to get dressed,” she said softly, “And I have to fix my skirt. We have ten minutes for you to dress, and brush your teeth and put your hat one so we can go. But I don’t care if we’re a minute or two late. That was amazing. I love you.”
“I love you too baby,” he said, walking into the bathroom to brush his teeth.
She quickly fixed her skirt and brushed her hair, and grabbed his baseball cap and sunglasses. He came out of the bathroom and decided to put on a show and change in front of her. It wasn’t something he usually did, but he was hoping if she saw him completely naked, she’d be ready for this soon. He slipped off his shirt and handed it to her silently with a smile on his face. She looked at him, and never got tired of seeing his perfect abs. It always turned her on. He slowly slid off his sweatpants and boxers and she nearly gasped at the sight of him. He was absolutely perfect completely naked. She wasn’t sure if she’d be able to wait until she surprised him the next evening when they got back from the show. She might have to have him on the plane. She could feel herself growing wet again, as he grinned.
“Like what you see baby?”
Not trusting her voice, she nodded.
“Can you hand me my jeans,” he said, and looked down at his obvious erection, “Oh and I guess I should wear boxers today. I need to hide this a little.” He grinned, and she silently handed him his jeans, boxers and a t-shirt.
“Get dressed,” she breathed, “Before you ruin your surprise.”
“I have a surprise?” he said excited and quickly getting dressed. “What it is it and when do I get it?”
“You’ll see,” she said mysteriously. “Come on, let’s go.”
She hadn’t gone shopping for proper lingerie, and was determined to wait until after the show tomorrow night, but maybe she could give him a sneak preview on the plane. Lord knows he probably needed it from the bulging erection he had going on in his jeans.
He quickly picked up their bags. “Let me carry stuff down to the car. Now tell me about my surprise.”
“No way,” she said. “You can wait. You’re very patient.”
“Bull shit,” he said. “I’m the least patient person you know.”
“Unless it’s something you want,” she said, “Then you’re a very patient and a very good boy.” This time she reached over and cupped his crotch quickly and quickly took her hand away.
“Ok,” he said. “I’m guessing my surprise is sexually related.”
“Could be,” she said, “But you’ll just have to wait.”
They met the guys and got in the car, and took the 30 minute drive to the airport. Every time Jon thought he had his growing erection under control, she would move a hand on his leg and he knew he needed to find some sort of release soon. He had already done that a few times in the bathroom after she was asleep, but he didn’t want to do anything she wasn’t 100% comfortable with.
They were all talking and laughing and cracking jokes, and got onto the plane, and took off the pilot soon shut off the fasten seatbelt sign. Yes, even the Jovi jet has one of those. Jon yawned.
“Tired Kidd?” Richie asked.
“A little,” he said. “Late night, and early morning. Babe, would you like to come lie down with me for a bit?” Her hand was still resting on his leg.
“Ok,” she said getting up. They walked into the bedroom area and he closed the door behind them, and she walked over to him and kissed him hard on the lips. He pulled back. “God woman, the things you do to me.”
“You ain’t seen nothing yet,” she said, pushing him down on the bed, and climbing on top of him.
“Are you sure?” he asked gently. “Really sure?”
“Oh,” she smiled with mock innocence. “We’re not doing that.”
“We’re not?” he asked disappointed.
“No,” she said with more feigned innocence, “I had something else in mind.” She kissed him again and then lowered the kiss to his neck and reached down and slid his t-shirt off.
“Baby?” Jon said.
“Shh….now it’s my turn to take care of you. Now lay back and enjoy.”
“Yes ma’am,” he said. “You are a slave driver.”
She continued her attack on his neck and then worked her way down kissing his chest all the way down until she reached his jeans. She unbuttoned them quickly, and slid them off along with his boxers.
“God baby,” Jon breathed. “Are you sure you’re not ready to go further?”
“Shh,” she said, “This is about you this time.” With that she went back to her kissing attack on his body and made her way to his hard cock, and briefly paused and then licked the length of him and he let off a small moan.
“Baby,” he breathed, “You’re killing me. But what a way to go.”
“Shh,” she commanded again and he quieted down, she stroked him with one hand and took him inside of her mouth and sucked on him. She started slow and he began to softly moan. She began to suck harder, knowing he was close to release already especially after the morning.
“Oh god baby!” Jon groaned, “I’m going to-“
And just like that he exploded with his release right inside of her mouth.
He quickly reached for a tissue and gently cleaned them both up and then she lay in his arms.
“I love you,” he said softly, as they snuggled.
“I love you too,” she said. “Very much.” And then she actually did fall asleep. He woke her about 45 minutes later, and told her it was almost time to land.
“No,” she said burying her head against his chest.  “I don’t want to wake up yet.”
“I’m sorry baby,” he said, “But it’s time.”
“You stink,” she said.
“Come on,” he said gently, “Before the guys get on the intercom and wake you.”
“I’ll kill them,” she said with a pout.
“You do have a better pout than me.”
“Told ya,” she said turning the pout into a smile.
“I’m serious,” he said. “I’d say yes to anything you have to say with that pout.”
“Good,” she said pouting again, and resting her head back on his bare chest. “Back to sleep.”
“Ok,” he said, “Just for five more minutes, and then we have to go out there and put our seatbelts on, after I get dressed again.”
“This is Captain Richie speaking,” Richie’s voice boomed over the intercom a minute later. “Time to get up and get your asses out here.”
“I’ll kill him,” she groaned, and Jon laughed.
“I warned you,” he said.
“Wake up, it’s time to wake up!” he sang into the intercom.
“When we fly home, I’m dismantling that damn intercom,” she said grumpy, but sitting up.
Jon laughed again. “I’ve been telling them we need to get rid of that thing. But it’s really there for safety reasons. If some crazy fan was hijacking the plane, or if the captain needed us to put on our seatbelts for turbulence or if we were going to crash; those of us in this room have to kind of be able to know what’s going on.”
“Then they can knock on the door,” she said slipping into her sandals and smoothing out her hair.
“I have to say,” he said getting up and getting dressed himself, “The way we used to party and sleep, we wouldn’t be able to hear a knock on the door even if you banged something really heavy against it. Although someone is always a pain in the ass with the intercom. Now that we’re much lighter sleepers, maybe we should get rid of it.”
“Agreed,” she said.
“Oh guys,” Richie called again. “Are you awake?”
She walked over to the intercom, and pressed the button, “Yes Richie, if you must know I was giving Jon the best head of his life. Can we have one more minute of privacy? I’m almost done here.”
Jon burst out laughing. “That was fantastic.” He said walking over to her and putting his arms around her waist. “And it really was the best head of my life.”
“Good,” she said. “I can’t wait to go out there now and see the look on Richie’s face.”
He walked over and pressed a couple of buttons, and Richie and the rest of the guys popped up on the screen.
“Cameras?” she said. “I learn something new every day.”
“Just another security measure. There’s no sound.”
Richie was shaking his head and laughing.
“Is he laughing at me?” she said. “Bring it big brother. I’m ready to get him back for waking me up.”
Jon laughed. “He should know never to mess with a determined woman.”
She quickly poured a pitcher of water. “What are you doing baby?”
“I thought the guys might be thirsty,” she said as she calmly opened the door to the bedroom. Jon walked out and the guys started hooting and hollering.
“Hi boys!” she said sweetly. “Who is thirsty? I thought you all might want some water before we land.”
“Water is good,” the guys piped up.
“Great,” she said, slowly pouring Jon a glass and handing it to him. She walked over to Hugh next and poured him one and handed it to him, and then over to Tico and David and poured him one. She stopped when she got to Richie and looked at him. Jon’s phone beeped. He smiled at Steph.
“Thank you so much for interrupting us Rich. I have to say your wake up calls are just divine.” She smiled sweetly and Richie knew he was in trouble. She handed him his glass and went to pour the water, and spilled it all over his lap. “Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry big brother. It was a total accident.”
Just then the captain announced to put on the seatbelt as they were going to be landing shortly.
Richie glared at her. “Thanks a lot Steph. Now I can’t even dry off.”
“Nope,” she said sweetly. “Maybe now you’ll think twice before interrupting us or waking me up.”
The rest of the guys burst out laughing, and Jon put his arms around her. “She got you pretty good Rich,” he said. “That doesn’t happen very often.”
“Yeah,” he admitted. “Steph, I promise. I will not wake you up any more with a rude wake up call or interrupt you and Kidd when you’re indisposed. I’m sorry. Really. Truce?”
“Ok,” she said, leaning over and shaking his hand. She reached behind Jon and handed him a towel she had stashed behind the seat on her way out.
“Thanks Steph,” Richie said.
The plane landed and they all left and got checked in at the hotel.  Sure enough Richie was on a completely different floor from the rest of the guys.
“Why are you on a different floor Rich?” Jon questioned. “I know that happens sometimes, but its good if we can all be together.”
Steph had already tipped the woman at the front desk to keep Richie away from everyone else and thanked her for her discretion. She explained when she was picking up the keys that no matter what the boss said that there was no other room open to get them on the same floor.
“Jon,” she interrupted. “It’s ok. The lady at the front desk said that there were only four rooms on the top floor.  She did the best she could at getting us all together.”
“Really man,” Richie said, “I don’t mind being away from you clowns for a few nights. I can come to you when need to review the set lists. It’s not like my room is that far from yours. It’s just an elevator ride away.”
“Ok,” Jon said. “Babe, can you make sure that at the next hotel, we all have rooms on the same floor. It’s just better for all of our privacy if we’re all together, because then it’s more likely that no one else will be around on our floor.”
“Ok,” she said. “Are we going out today?”
“Yup,” Jon said with a grin. “We are going to see all of the wonderful sights of Rome.”
“Yay,” she said. “I’ll meet you upstairs. I want to take care of our dinner reservations for tonight. I thought it might be nice to stay in for dinner.”
“Ok,” he said. “They have great food here so that works. I’ll see you upstairs in a few babe.”
She headed over to the concierge desk where Richie was thumbing through an Italian brochure.
“What the fuck are we going to do?” she said. “He wants us on the same floor. That’s going to be very risky for us with Dot.”
“I know,” Richie said, “But I have a plan. I’m going to get her a separate room. I don’t want to make every hotel we stay in look bad by changing rooms or anything like that.”
“Good. But it will still be risky? What if Jon comes to your room and you’re not there?”
“Then I went for a walk, or to an AA meeting or to get a bite to eat, and he can call my cell. I’ll make sure the hotel puts her a few floors below us, and then when I do come up to see him, it will look like I took the elevator up from the lobby.”
“I still think you should tell him the truth.”
“And I still want to wait until after the tour is over.”
“Fine,” she said walking up and making dinner reservations for the evening, and asking about a car rental for the next day.
She finished there and went upstairs. Jon was waiting and pulled her into a kiss. She pulled back a moment later.
“You’re absolutely beautiful,” he said softly.
“Thank you,” she said. “By the way…”
“What?” he asked. “Tomorrow during the day, I have to run an errand while you and Rich are doing your interview. I’ve rented a car. I’d also like to check out the venue today if we can. I want to make sure everything set up properly.”
“What sort of errand do you have to run?” He asked. “Is it for my surprise?”
“It could be,” she said with a grin.
“Now about the airplane,” he said. “That was amazing. Will there be any repeat performances anytime soon?”
She kissed him, “Maybe. If you’re good.”
“I can be very good,” he said seductively, running a hand up her leg and hiking up her skirt.
“Baby, I thought we were going to see Rome.”
He gently scooped her up in his arms, and carried her over to the bed, and reached his hand up her skirt again.
“That can wait just a little bit right?” She was already wet when he quickly began to rub her, and he kissed her as she let out a small moan into his mouth. He pulled back, feeling breathless, “Right?”
She always seemed to forget everything when he touched her like that. She nodded.
“Good,” he said, laying on top of her, and continuing to rub her.
He took his other hand and deftly reached up under her shirt and unhooked the bra she was wearing so he could feel her breasts, while she moaned in ecstasy at the touch.
“God, I want you so bad baby,” he breathed. “Are you ready? I can wait if you want.”
She remembered her surprise. Maybe they could just have a romantic evening the next day. She wanted him just as much as he wanted her right now.
He then remembered that he had wanted their first time together to be really special. A moment that they would remember forever.

Chapter 12...enjoy

Thank you so much for reading everyone...my sister's friend's hubby is a photographer for the New England pics and got this pic of Jon at the Patriots/Brancos game on Saturday night...not the first one she's shared with me...I told her we so need to go to a game next year with her photographer friend....:) That being said...here is the latest add...enjoy.

***

The show started off amazing as usual. He started off in the back for “Last Man Standing” and then moved to the front of the stage. He saw her sitting down and winked at her. Behind her, she heard a scream.

“He just winked at you!” a girl sitting next to her grabbed her excited. “I’m so jealous.”

She just smiled, and got into the show. It had been so long since she just enjoyed a Jovi concert.  Before she knew it, she and the other girls were jumping up and down and cheering along with the music. He stopped in front of her whenever he could.

After they finished Richie’s solo set, one of the security guards came for her.

“Paul,” he hissed as the crowd cheered. “I’m supposed to be off tonight.”

“Boss wants you sitting near him for this,” he said.

She smiled. “Oh, ok.”

He brought around to the front of the pit where there was an empty chair right up close to where he was walking out on to the circle, and everyone in the crowd was cheering.

He placed one finger to his lips to quiet the crowd down.

“I’d like to dedicate this next song,” he said, and the crowd went wild. “To a wonderful person who has recently come into my life. As I’m sure you guys have all heard from the tabloids, I’ve recently split up from my wife, and I’m sorry ladies, but I have someone special who is absolutely amazing. So Steph, this whole next set is just for you. Thank you for loving me.”

They went right into Thank You for Loving Me, followed by Always, followed by Bed of Roses and Richie and Jon did a very touching duet of I’ll be There For You. Only those that were sitting right near the front saw Jon lean over the circle after the set and pull her close to him for a kiss.

She broke away with a huge smile. “Get back to work,” she whispered into his ear. “My boyfriend will be jealous.”

“Screw the boyfriend,” he whispered back while Richie went into a guitar solo, “I just dedicated lots of stuff to you.”

She laughed. “Thank you. I love you so much for that.”

“I love you too baby,” he said. “Time to go back to work.”

She gave him one more quick kiss and then headed back to her seat in the front row as they were done in the circle. The girl who was sitting next to her grabbed her arm. “I wonder who the lucky girl is that nabbed him so quickly.”

“What do you mean?” she asked innocently, while Jon watched from the stage, hoping she had gone unnoticed during his serenade. She still had her all access pass in her purse.

“He dedicated those last few songs to someone that was in the audience. Probably sitting on the other side of the circle. I mean, he must not care that much if she’s sitting over there and not in the front row.”

“Maybe she as an all access pass and he wanted her there during that part of the show. I think it’s romantic,” she said with a smile.

“Maybe,” the girl said. “You’re probably right. She is soo lucky. Jon is hot.”

“That he is,” she said. “Let’s enjoy the rest of the show now.”

He saw the girl stop talking to Steph and was happy that the girl stopped bugging Steph, and he went into another set. The audience was on fire tonight. They were all on their feet and Jon loved it when the crowd was like that. They did three encores and Steph loved every minute of it. She knew after the third encore they were not coming back out and she reached in her purse for her all access pass and took it out and waited for the crowd on the floor to clear a little before heading backstage to see the guys.

The girl and her friends who had been sitting next to her were still there and she spotted Paul and gave a little wave.

“Oh my god,” the girl said with an excited smile. “Do you know the security guy?”

“Yes,” she said sweetly, as Paul walked over.

“Can he get us backstage to meet the guys?”

“I don’t think so,” she said. “He could lose his job for that. Besides, the guys are probably long gone by now.” She winked at Paul.

“Are you band security?” the girl asked. The whole group of them were drunk from way too many beers during the concert. “If he’s band security then the guys are probably still back there.”

“Ladies, it is definitely time to clear out,” Paul said.

“But we wanna meet Jon!!” the girl whined. “I’m so sure I’m prettier than the girlfriend.”

Steph stifled a laugh. She wasn’t getting out of here until Paul got these girls out of here or she’d be trampled. Just then her phone beeped with a text asking her where she was. She wrote back that she was avoiding being trampled by the drunken women who were in the front row dying to meet him and that one of them was sure she was prettier than her.

He wrote back. “Lol. Did you tell them its you?”

“No,” she replied, “But I am tired and want to get some sleep.”

“Sleep is good,” he wrote, “Especially since the guys and I have decided to fly out in the morning instead of tomorrow night. I want to show you Italy a little. Is Paul having trouble getting rid of them?” he wrote back.

She rolled her eyes. The girl that seemed to be the ringleader of the bunch was had her arm on Paul and was batting her eyelashes at him. She was trying really hard, and the arena was more or less empty with the exception the remaining employees doing clean up. “I’d say so,” she replied.

“Richie and I will handle this. When we come out you head back stage. We’ll meet you back there in ten minutes. I’m pretty sure we’ll be a distraction and you’ll go unnoticed.”

“Ok,” she grinned. In about two minutes, Richie and Jon walked out freshly showered, and the girls started screaming with delight.

“Ladies,” Richie drawled. “We need our guy Paul here and we hear you’re distracting him.”

The first girl that had been annoying her walked up to Jon and put her arms around. “Jon, pick me over the girlfriend. I’m way better than she is.”

Jon chuckled softly and pried the girls arms around her. “Sorry ladies, I am a one woman man. I’m glad you enjoyed the show. Can we get you an autograph? We’d like to go back to our hotel. We have an early flight out of here in the morning.”

Steph could tell the girls were going to back off and winked at Jon and quietly walked towards the back stage area.

As she was walking over there, she heard the main girl speak up again loudly. God this girl was getting really annoying. I don’t want your autograph Jon. How about if you come back to my hotel tonight? I’ll give you something that you’ll never forget.”

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Steph waiting in the wings and grinned, and quickly scribbled something on a t-shirt for the girl. Richie had just finished signing all of the other girls t-shirts, and Jon spoke up. “Sorry, but I really have to go with my girl over there.” He walked away with Richie behind him. “Goodnight ladies!” Richie called.

Jon walked right up to Steph while the girls stood there with their jaws hanging open, and took her in a big kiss right in front of them. He pulled away and put his arm around her and they continued to walk to the back stage area. Once they were completely out of earshot, Steph, Jon and Rich started laughing.

“I think you crushed that poor girl’s heart, honey,” Steph said.

“I’ve crushed a lot of hearts over the years. It’s the nature of the business.”

“Our days of being with those kinds of girls are long since over,” Richie said. “When that girl wakes up in the morning she probably won’t even remember where she got Jon’s autograph from.”

“Thanks for coming to my rescue guys,” she said.

“Anytime,” Jon said. “Did you enjoy the show?”

“One of the best I’ve ever seen,” she said with a huge smile. “Especially the set you played for your new girlfriend. That was so sweet. She’s a lucky lady.”

Richie laughed, and Jon played a long. They had fun with that earlier today. “Not as lucky as I am. Apparently you forgot all about the boyfriend and are coming with me.”

They climbed into the waiting car with the rest of the guys to head back to the hotel and Steph rested her head happily on Jon’s shoulder. “My boyfriend gave me a free pass and you’re it, so I better take good advantage of it,” she said squeezing his knee.

Tico laughed. “You too make us sick. So happy and in love.”

“Damn straight,” Jon said planting a kiss on Steph’s forehead. “This girl and I will be happy forever.”

She wrapped an arm around his waist. “I love you.”

David laughed. “You guys are too cute.”

“Thank you Lemma,” Jon said, and noticed Richie was quietly texting someone, “Now if we can just talk to Richie’s mystery woman, we can give the Jovi family approval of her too. Rich, you should call her, so we can all talk to her.”

“Yeah, Rich,” Tico and David piped up. “You’ve kept this one under wraps for way too long now.”

“Guys,” Richie said, “You’ll meet her soon enough. Like after we get back from the tour and are in the states again.”

“We know, man,” Jon said, “But we just want to hear the voice of the woman who makes you so happy.”

“I’ll send her a text and tell her you guys all say hi,” he said. “Will that make you happy?”

“We’ll send the text,” Tico said grabbing Richie’s phone.

“Teek,” Richie said, annoyed. “Give me my phone.”

“Is this her?” Tico asked. “You call her D? There’s no picture”

“Yes,” he said exasperated. “Now can I please have my phone?”

“Sheesh,” Tico said, “Lighten up. We’re just trying to have a little fun.”

“I know,” Richie said, “But if you guys can respect my privacy just a little bit longer, I promise you’ll get to meet her.”

“Ok,” Jon said. “Sorry. We didn’t realize you were so protective of this.”

“I am,” said Richie. “Just because I don’t want to mess anything up just yet and she’s not here, and your approval on this matters, so I want to introduce her to you guys when the timing is just right.” He stopped to write a text, and laughed when it beeped back. “She says hi, and to leave me alone so we can continue our conversation.”

Steph remained silent through the whole exchange, annoyed once more that Richie was putting her in this position.  They pulled up to the hotel and all got out of the car and headed inside. Richie looked at Steph while Jon said good night to the rest of the guys and mouthed an I’m sorry at her and she just shook her head.

They went up to their room, and Steph and Jon changed and were ready for bed. They crawled in and she kissed him. “Thank you for tonight. It was awesome.”

“Mmm…” Jon said when the kiss was broken. “I’m glad you like that. Hey, you were awfully quiet on the way back here when we were bugging Richie. I would have thought that you would most definitely have had something to say to him to convince him to let us talk to her.”

“Nah,” she said. “He’s entitled to his privacy. He must have his reasons.”

“Well,” he said wrapping his arms around her. “It won’t stay quiet for long. Once they go out in public the press will find out, and it would be better for her to get to meet us before that happens.”

“It would be better for all of us if that happened,” she said honestly.

“Why? Do you know something I don’t about this girl? I know Richie is like a big brother to you.”

“No of course not,” she said quickly. “I was just thinking if we met her before the press finds out, then we can give her pointers on how to deal with the press and a statement can be prepared about them. I mean, your divorce was just finalized and it was in the press within a couple of days after Dot called you to get the papers ready, and now there will probably be me in the press.”

“I didn’t really think of that tonight little one,” he said. “Do you need any help in dealing with the wolves?”

“I can handle it,” she said snuggling up against him. “I have you and that is all that matters.”

“I love you baby,” he said kissing her.

“I love you too,” she said, and then yawned.

“Do I bore you?” he teased, and then yawned himself.

“No,” she said sleepily. “But I think we’re both wiped, and we have a 7 am flight tomorrow. So we should get some sleep.”

“I agree,” he said, holding her close to him. “Steph?”

“Yes Jon?” she said.

“I’m glad you told me you loved me too. You have no idea how happy I am.”

“I’m happy too,” she said. “I feel very lucky that you love me.”

“I’m the lucky one,” he said sleepily. “You’re right. I am tired.” He closed his eyes.

“Good night baby,” she said softly, closing her eyes.

“Goodnight beautiful,” he said.

A few minutes later the tears subsided, and she looked at Jon sheepishly. “You don’t want me. I’m a mess. It’s probably why I’m so good at my job. I’d rather take care of others than take care of me.”
“I like messes,” he said kissing her forehead. “Whatever is wrong, we can fix that together.”
“Why do you always know just what to say?” she said with a smile.
“Didn’t anyone tell you? I’m famous because I’m terrific with words. I put them into beautiful songs. Its who I am.”
She laughed and rolled her eyes at him. “Such the ego.”
“Stick around baby. You haven’t seen anything yet,” he joked, and then grew serious. “I’m sorry if it seemed like I was rushing you. And whatever it is that upset you, we’re going to have to talk about if we’re going to work.”
She sighed, “I know. I’m just not quite ready to talk about my past.”
“I get that,” he said giving her a quick peck on the lips. “Patience is my strong suit. I can wait.” He grinned.
“You are so full of shit,” she said with a smile. “I haven’t known you very long, but you’re one of the most stubborn, impatient people I’ve ever met.”
He laughed. “You get me so well. I can be patient when it involves waiting for the right thing.”
“So you think I’m the right thing?” she asked softly.
“Definitely worth waiting for,” he said. “Now come on, let’s get dressed and go to lunch before we blow off the guys.”
“Ok,” she said walking over to her room to grab a change of clothes.
“Hey baby?” he called after her.
“Yeah, Jon?” she called back.
“Maybe we should give up this whole separate rooms thing. I mean, how many times have we actually slept in a separate room since coming here?”
She laughed. “True.”
They walked up to lunch, and Jon put one arm around her protectively.
“What are you doing?” she whispered.
“You’re hot, and these guys are always flirts with you. I want them to know that you’re mine,” he whispered back.
“It’s ok Jon,” she whispered to him. “I think they already were planning on us getting together. You’re forgetting that I talk to them too you know. And flirt? That they do. But it’s just fun.”
“Ok, ok,” he said, “I forget that the guys love you and you love them.”
“I’ve quickly become like the little sister for them.”
He opened the door to the restaurant and they walked in, hand in hand. The guys were sitting at a table cracking jokes and being goofballs when they walked over. “Ahem,” Jon said. The guys looked up and noticed Jon and Steph.
“Hey you two,” Richie said looking at them and a grin spread across his face. “What’s going on?”
Jon gently squeezed Steph’s hand as they slid into the booth. “Oh, you know,” he said airily, “Same shit different day.”
Steph just grinned at the guys.
“You were in the middle of something when we came up this afternoon!” Richie said. “I knew it. You both look too happy not to have been doing what we thought you were doing.”
Steph and Jon both burst out laughing, and then grew serious, as Jon spoke. “It’s not like that guys. Not that what we do together is your business, but we are going to explore our feelings for each other, and nothing like that has happened yet.”
“I hope this doesn’t affect our working relationship you guys,” Steph said.
David spoke up first. “Hardly. This is a good thing. Maybe you’ll distract this guy from being such a jerk when he gets in his moods.”
“Moods?” Jon said with a grin. “What moods? I don’t have moods.”
“Not anymore, you don’t.” Richie said with a grin. “Since Steph came into your life, you’ve been a completely different man. Mellow, laidback, not a care in the world. I think I speak for all of us when I say we’re happy you guys are together or at least exploring things. However don’t screw this up Jon. I mean it, if you fuck this up and you go back to the way before, then I think all of us will be pissed.”
“It will be fine,” Steph said with a grin. “He’s very patient and understanding with me.”
Tico snorted. “Jon’s not patient. Only when there’s something good in it for him, which you are.”
They all laughed and Jon just grinned. The rest of lunch flew by and Jon decided to take Steph to the out for a proper first date. “I’ll pick you up at 7,” he whispered in her ear as they were all on the elevator. “Since we still have separate rooms, I plan on taking advantage of that tonight. So go get ready for our first official date.”
She grinned, “Ok.” She whispered, and they all got off the elevator and headed in separate directions.
She walked in her room and looked through her closet, not really knowing what to wear. She knocked on Jon’s connecting door. “No fair!” he called. “You have to get ready without me around tonight.” He opened the door anyway and pulled her in for a quick kiss. “What can I do for you?”
“I was just wondering what I should wear tonight,” she asked. “Are we going someplace where I need to be dressed up?”
“Dressy is good,” he said thoughtfully. “No go get ready. I have to make some plans for the evening since I’m dating my PA now and if I want to surprise her with the perfect evening in London, then I need to do all of the planning myself instead of having her make the reservations.” He grinned at her, and picked up his phone. “I’ll pick you up at 7.”
She walked back into her room, closing the door behind her and looking in her closet again. She found the perfect dress hanging in there and ironed it and jumped in the shower. She used her special citrus scented shampoo, conditioner and shower gel and got out and put on the dress and shoes. She blow dried her hair and  pulled back part of it leaving the back falling in waves down her back. She pulled out two small strands and let them frame her face. She put on a little bit of makeup and looked at the clock. It was 655 and she was ready for whatever Jon had in store for her that evening. At 7 on the dot, a knock came at her regular door instead of the connecting door. Surprised, she went to the door  and opened it to Jon standing there with a beautiful bouquet of flowers in his hand for her with a grin on his face.
“For you my lady,” he said handing her the flowers. “And might I add, you look beautiful in that dress.”
“Thank you,” she said, taking the flowers and used the ice bucket in her room as a vase for them. “You don’t look so bad yourself.”
Jon was wearing a crisp white button down with a black tie and a pair of black dress pants.
“Shall we?” Jon said, holding his arm out for her being the perfect gentleman. They walked downstairs and the driver drove them to a quiet little restaurant, where they were quickly escorted to the back to a private table.  Jon ordered a bottle of wine for the two of them, and asked her if she wanted a menu, as he didn’t need one. He knew the menu well.
“How about if you order for me?”
“Ok,” he said, and ordered two dishes. One was steak and the other was chicken. “Both of these are fabulous here, and since we had a late lunch, they’re small enough portions that you won’t feel overly stuffed afterwards.”
They talked all through dinner, and it was amazing since they already knew each other, they didn’t have to go through any of the awkward first date stuff.  The waiter brought the check after they had dessert and coffee, and Jon paid it. A few moments later some soft music began to play, and Jon stood up, and held out his hand. “May I have this dance?”
She smiled at him, “Of course.”
He held her close and they danced for a few songs. She rested her head on his shoulder smiling happily.
“I had a wonderful time tonight,” he said to her.
“I’m not ready for tonight to end,” she said happily. “This has been an absolutely amazing day.”
“It’s not over yet,” he promised, “But the dinner and dancing portion of the evening is over.”
“Where are we going next?”
“It’s a surprise,” he said smiling, as they walked outside to where the car was waiting for them. It was a beautiful starry night, and they got into the car and the driver drove to the park they had lunch at their first day in London.
“What are we doing here?” she asked, confused.
“You’ll see,” he said as the driver handed him a blanket and a small basket, he thanked him and took her hand and they walked to the middle of the park where there was a big projector screen set up, and a small crowd already seated on blankets. She smiled and looked at him. “They show old movies here on Wednesday nights. So I thought we’d end the evening with a movie under the stars. Luckily the weather is perfect.”
She smiled. “This is perfect.”
“Do you want to sit up close or in the back?”
“The back is fine,” she said, “Hopefully it will be more private and no one will recognize you.”
“Good point,” he said, finding them a spot and laying out the blanket. They settled in and the movie began. It was Casablanca which was a favorite of hers. She leaned back and snuggled against Jon, who opened the basket and offered her candy. “What movie wouldn’t be complete without snacks?” he whispered.
“Perfect,” she said reaching in for some M & Ms. They snuggled and kissed during the movie and when it was over she looked at him. “Thank you. It really was the best first date I’ve ever been on. I get to plan the second one though.”
He laughed. “Ok, but I don’t know how much more romantic you can get than this.” He took her hand and suggested they walk back to the hotel and upstairs to their rooms. Jon stopped at her door. “Well, beautiful, this is good night.” He smiled and bent down for a kiss. She pulled back a moment later, and opened her door.
“Would you like to come in for a night cap?” she asked smiling.
“I’d love to,” he said grinning, “But just so we’re clear, there’s no pressure for anything tonight.”
She grinned. “I know. I just thought since we were eventually just going to stay in one room, we may as well sleep in the same bed tonight, and since you walked me to my door and all, I figured we’d sleep in mine tonight.”
He grinned. “If it means I get to hold you all night, I’ll spend the night with you. I’ll just run to my room and change quick.”
“Ok,” she said opening the door and letting herself in. “But hurry back. It’ll be lonely in here without you.”
She walked in and pulled out a pair of silk purple boxer shorts and a matching tank top. She went into the bathroom and brushed her teeth and took her hair down. She walked over to the connecting door to Jon’s room and opened it and crawled into bed. While she was waiting she thought of the afternoon and him touching her the way he did before lunch. She was okay with it, and really wanted to be with him, but memories of her past hit her like a ton of bricks and she froze. He was the sweetest, sexiest man she had ever met and she felt extremely safe with him, and yet she couldn’t overcome her past to be with him.  She wished she could. Maybe he was right, and she needed to tell him what had happened to her so that he could help her get through it.
“What’s going on in that beautiful head of yours?” Jon came back in the room and looked at her.
“Tonight was perfect,” she said. “Come over here and hold me please.”
“My pleasure,” he said crossing the room quickly and climbing into bed with her. He wrapped his arms around her tight. “How’s that?” he asked softly.
“Just right,” she said turning to look at him. “I was thinking, maybe I should tell you what happened to me. It may help me to move past things. Because I really want you, but I don’t want another flashback of memories to come rushing back and cause me to freeze up again. That wouldn’t be fair to either one of us.”
“Baby,” he said, “You don’t have to. Tonight wasn’t about that. It was about us both having a proper first date. Honest, I’m okay with just this.”
“Well, we don’t have to do anything tonight, but I thought maybe if I told you what happened, we can start getting me comfortable to the point where we will be able to do this.”
“That I like,” he said gently. “It must have been pretty awful for you to deal with, and I have a good listening ear.”
“My ex?” she said. “The one that I had a shitty past with?”
He nodded silently.
“He beat me. And raped me. It only happened once and it was a few years ago and I left him right after that, and got help and thought I was fine. I went out on a few dates here and there, but nothing ever serious and no sex. And then you came along and I kept denying that I was starting to care about you, and then the flashbacks started coming of that night along with nightmares that I fought so hard to make go away.”
Jon felt a tear roll down his face. He knew something awful had to have happened to her, and wanted to make her feel safe again.  He wrapped his arms around her tighter. “Baby, I will never ever hurt you. I promise. I wish I knew this guy. I’d like to kick his ass for doing this to you.”
“You don’t have to,” she whispered. “After I left him, he killed himself. I guess he couldn’t live with what he had done to me.”
“I hope that’s the reason. He’s still a scumbag for doing that to you. I’m glad you decided to tell me this. It means a lot that you trusted me that much. And we’ll work through this. You’ll feel safe again. I promise.”
“I already feel safer with you than I’ve felt with a man in a long time. I guess it’s not enough yet.”
“Don’t worry,” he said softly, “It will be.” They lay side by side facing each other while he held her. Finally he broke the silence. “Can I try something? I promise, if it’s too much, I’ll stop. Trust me.”
Not sure what he wanted to try, she nodded.
He gently ran one of his hands down her stomach and to the soft thin material that was just barely covering up her skin.
“Look at me,” he said gently, “Keep your eyes firmly locked on mine. I’m just going to take care of you right now, and we’ll see how you do with that.”
She nodded. “I trust you.” She said softly.
He gently began to rub her through the silky fabric of her shorts, all the while keeping his eyes locked on hers.
“Ok,” he said softly.
“Yes,” she said, feeling herself become turned on as he rubbed her. He continued to rub her spot through the fabric of her shorts and felt her becoming wetter and wetter. It turned him on immensely but he wasn’t going to go there yet. He kept gazing into her eyes, and he could see the effect he was having on her.
“Do you want more?” he asked gently still rubbing her clit through her shorts. “I promise no sex just yet, I just want to feel you.”
Unable to speak, she nodded. It was all he needed, he gently peeled off the shorts and panties. His eyes still stayed fixed on hers. If anything he knew that this would help his erection a little because he wasn’t moving his eyes to look at her wet vagina. He gently slid two fingers inside of her.
“Good?” he asked, moving his fingers around a little, as she let out a tiny moan, he chuckled softly. “I guess so. I can tell it’s been a while for you. This will probably go very quickly.” He moved his fingers in and out of her, and the feeling of it felt too good for her, she started to close her eyes.
“Hey,” he said commanded softly, “I know this feels good, but keep your eyes on mine and open. I don’t want this to end with a flashback and you not enjoying it.”
She opened her eyes and continued to gaze into his, pretty soon she was moaning loudly, and she exploded into his hands.
“Good girl,” he said gently and taking her into a sweet kiss. He pulled back and lay down with her head snuggled up on his chest.
“That was amazing,” she said. “But what about you?”
“No worries,” he said. “This was about you, and making sure you were ok. We will slowly get there.”
He was right and she knew it. “Okay,” she said softly, and then yawned.
He chuckled. “I tired you out anyway. Sleep my angel.” Sure enough within about ten minutes she was sound asleep in his arms.
“I love you,” he whispered softly once he was sure she was asleep. And he did. He just wasn’t quite ready to admit that to her yet.
The next couple of weeks passed, and they grew closer. They still hadn’t had sex, but things were definitely getting closer. They had just reached Madrid and there were a little more than two weeks left of the tour. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon and they were spending an incredible day together before headed to the venue for the show.
“Steph,” Jon said, “I want to tell you something and I hope it doesn’t freak you out too much. “
“Ok,” she said just as his phone rang.
He looked at the caller id. Dot. Figures. He thought. “Hello Dot? I’m in the middle of something. What can I do for you? The papers should have arrived yesterday. Steph called you to confirm you received them.”
“Yes Jon,” Dot confirmed on the other end.  “I signed yesterday. We are officially divorced. But I just wanted to let you know something.” She sounded nervous.
“What’s up Dot?” he asked.
“Your parents wanted to see Romeo and Jake before school starts and I thought that was a great idea.”
“That’s fine. We’ll be home in about 2 weeks so I can take them.”
“Well I thought it would be good for them to have some good quality time with grandma and grandpa and they’re really excited about it.”
Jon wasn’t born yesterday, “So you want to take a vacation with your new friend.”
“Something like that,” she admitted sheepishly. “He actually had something planned for us, and knows you’re on tour and I told him I had to see because it may have to wait until you get back, but then your parents mentioned wanting to spend some time with them and I thought it would be a great idea.”
“Ok, it would probably do the boys good to spend some time with Mom and Dad for a couple of weeks.”
“Really?” she asked, incredulous. She was expecting more of a fight from him.
“Yeah, I mean, I would like to spend some time with the boys myself when I get home. As you know we’re off for a few weeks before I want to start on work stuff again.”
“That’s fine,” she said quickly. “How long would you like to see them for?”
“I was thinking a week or two.”
“Ok,” she said. “Not a problem.”
“Have a good time on your vacation. Will I get to meet your mystery man anytime soon?”
“Um,” she said nervously, “Probably when you get back.”
“Dot if he makes you happy, then I’m sure I will like him.”
“How about you?” she asked, knowing fully well what the answer would be.
“Yes,” he said with a grin at Steph, who was sending a text to someone on her phone. He assumed it had something to do with the show tonight.
“She’s right there next to you isn’t she?” Dot said laughing. “I’m glad you found someone who makes you happy.”
“I did,” he said honestly. “Now go plan your trip. Have a great vacation.”
“Bye Jon,” she said. “Thank you.”
After he hung up the phone he looked at Steph. “Sorry the moment was kind of ruined.”
“It’s ok,” she said looking up from her phone. “So, Dot is taking a vacation?”
“Yeah, she’s leaving in a couple of days with her new mystery man”
Steph’s eyes widened. That means Dot is coming here. I wonder if all hell will hit the fan when Jon finds out. Maybe I should talk to Richie, and tell him I know. He has to tell Jon the truth. “But the tour isn’t over for a couple of weeks.”
“Romeo and Jake will stay with my parents.  I’m glad for her. I hope she has someone who makes her as happy as you make me.”
She smiled, and looked at her phone. She had overheard Jon’s side of the conversation, and he had just confirmed things so she sent Richie a text letting him know that they needed to talk and soon.
When he wrote back and told her to come to his room, she wrote back, ok, and looked at Jon.
“I have to take care of something before tonight,” she said. “I know you wanted to get a workout in, so why don’t you take care of that?”
“I thought everything was all set for tonight? I wanted to spend some time alone this afternoon,” he said with a pout.
“I know,” she said, “But it’s something last minute that came up at the venue. I promise I’ll see you there.” She walked up to him and gave him a long kiss. She pulled back and was about to walk out the door.
“Steph, wait!” he said. “I know I was about to tell you something before we were interrupted, and I wanted to say it before you left.”
She smiled at him. “Yes.”
“I love you.”
She broke into a bigger smile and walked back over and kissed him again. “I love you too.”
“Stay with me,” he asked, kissing her again. “Can’t the thing at the venue work itself out?”
“Unfortunately not,” she said. “We’ll have the whole night tonight after the show. I love you.” She said again as she was walking out the door.
“I love you too!” he called after her. She practically floated to the elevator, thanking her lucky stars Richie was actually on a different floor from them in their hotel, so Jon wouldn’t see her going to his room. She hurriedly got off the elevator and knocked on the door.
“What’s going on?” he asked, his eyes narrowing. “What did he do?”
“Nothing,” she said airily, “Besides telling me he loved me for the first time. Dot’s taking a vacation before you guys get back with her new guy. Did you know that?”
Richie’s eyes widened, and she came back to earth getting kind of pissed. “Why would I know that?”
“Oh gee Rich,” she said sarcastically, “Because you talk with her.”
He paled. “How do you know that?”
“The first night I was at Jon’s apartment I took a wrong turn and overheard her talking with you on the phone. It’s not my place to tell Jon, but it should be yours. You’re his best friend. And now I assume she’s coming here. How in the fuck is that going to work?”
Richie sighed. “Look, this is complicated.”
“Complicated? Then uncomplicated things. Tell Jon the truth,” she said angrily.
“The plan is to tell him the truth. After the tour.”
“After? But she’s coming here. To Europe. While we’re all here. To be with you. Again, I ask you. How the fuck is that going to work?”
“She’s not going to any concerts. She’s seen enough of those. And you two have been so busy in your own little world for the past few weeks, I don’t think he’ll notice if I’m not around during the free time. I’ve purposely made sure to be on a separate floor, and Dot will be flying commercial while she’s here. You’ve kept quiet this long. Can I please count on you to keep quiet for a few more weeks?”
She sighed. “What if he wants to go over a set list or something?”
“Then you’ll text me and I’ll come to his room.”
“Something will go wrong. Weren’t you the one who told me that secrets in the Jovi family always have a way of biting you guys in the ass?”
“This one probably will,” he admitted, “But I’m hoping he’s ok with this because he has you. And I swear, he will never ever find out that you knew about this. That will be a secret that we both take to the grave. Dot will too.”
“I don’t know…” she trailed off. “This could get really ugly. Maybe if you just talked to him before Dot got here.”
“No,” Richie said simply. “I can’t jeopardize the end of the tour. I already jeopardized enough of the tour with being in rehab and I’m not going  to jeopardize it further.”
She shook her head. “Bringing her here is a mistake.”
“I know,” he said, “But I miss her so damn much, and it’s hard being out here alone when everyone around me is so happy and in love. I know it’s only two more weeks, but really, it’ll probably be even longer before I would see her, because I have to fly to LA to see Ava.”
She softened. “Ok. I’ll keep quiet. And if this comes out while she’s here, then I will do my best to calm him down. I don’t think he’s going to be too upset that you guys are together. I think he will feel like you betrayed him by not telling him about it for so long.”
Richie engulfed her in a big bear hug. “Thank you! You’re the best little sister a guy could ask for.”
“Don’t thank me yet,” she said wryly. “I’ll have you know that I’m a terrible liar.”
“It’s ok,” he said. “This will work.”
“When is she getting here?”
“In two days.” He said. “When we get to Italy.”
“Ok,” she said. “I have errands to run when we first get there, and you guys have an interview. Do you want me to pick her up at the airport? I was planning on renting a car that day.”
“That would actually be quite perfect. And then she’ll be waiting for me in my room when we get back from the show, and Jon won’t see me leaving a room key at the desk for her.” Then a realization hit him. “Hey when you got here, you told me something. He told you he loved you?” He grinned.
She couldn’t help but smile at that. “Yes he did. I told him I loved him too. And I decided to make Italy the night.”
“Ooh, so are you shopping for special things?” he asked.
“Yes,” she said.
“Maybe Dot can help you. I’d like you two to be friends.”
“I’m sure we will be once everything blows over with Jon,” she said, “But for now, I want to not be a part of this as much as possible. The fact that I know about you two is bad enough.”
He gave her an apologetic look. “I’m really sorry you knew about all of this at all. I hate putting you in this position.”
“Yeah, well I’m not happy about lying to him. He’s the man I love and he’s my boss. If he finds out, he’s going to be furious with me.”
“I know,” he said. “Don’t worry your pretty little head. He won’t find out. This will be a family secret that just stays between the three of us. Jon and I have a couple of those between the two of us.”
“You do?” she said raising her eyebrows. “And I don’t know these secrets?”
“Yup,” he said. “They’re past secrets from the early eighties. They’re really not that bad, but we swore we’d never tell.”
Just then a knock came on the door. “Hey Sambora!” a voice called. “Can we go over the set list? I want to add a couple of things.”
“Shit,” she hissed. “Jon thinks I went to take care of something at the venue.”
“It’s ok Steph,” he said. “I’ll handle this. I just got of the shower Kidd! I’ll meet you upstairs in fifteen minutes.”
“Okay, but hurry up, I want to do something extra special tonight for the girl I love.”
“Aww,” she mouthed at him.
“Ok!” Richie called through the door. Richie peered through the peephole on the door and watched Jon walk away down the hall. He had an end room so he had a perfect view of the elevator. “He’s gone.”
She clenched her jaw again. “I hate lying to him. Really hate lying to him.”
“I’m sorry,” Richie said.
“Hey Rich,” she said. “Don’t screw this up. If you fuck this up, and hurt him, it’ll cost everyone a lot.”
“I know,” he said. “I’m hoping this doesn’t hurt him, but to be honest I know his reaction won’t be pretty.”
“I know,” she said.
“And you’re going to have to be there for him when he finds out. He’s going to need you as much as you’ve needed him over the past few weeks.”
“I know,” she said. “I’m going to go. I’ll see you guys at the venue. I might as well go down there and check on everything to make sure it’s all set up correctly for you guys. The car will be by to pick you guys up in an hour. I’ll send him a text and let him know.”
“Ok,” he said. “Thanks little sis!” He really did love her like a sister.
“I’d say anytime, but I sure as hell hope you don’t put me in this position again big brother.”
He laughed. “Don’t worry. I won’t.”
With that she left, and Richie headed upstairs to Jon’s room.
Once she arrived to the venue she made sure everything was all set with the tour manager, and sent Jon a text letting him know everything was fine.
“Crisis averted?” he wrote back.
“For now,” she wrote. “Everything should be perfect tonight. I love you.”
He sent back a smiley face. “I love you too. Richie and I are just going over the set list and we’ll be on our way. By the way, you are off tonight. I want you to sit back and enjoy the show. I’ve already arranged it.”
Thinking of the something special he had said earlier, she sent a smiley face back to him. “Ok.” She replied.
“I’ll see you in a little bit baby. Why don’t you go get a bite to eat for yourself? I’m sure everything is all set there, and your front row ticket should be at the box office for you to pick up.”
“Will I see you before the show?” she asked.
“Come back right after the opening act and give me a good luck kiss,” he wrote back. “I want you to sit back and be a fan tonight, and be on your feet the whole show.”
“Ok,” she wrote back. “I love you.”
“I love you more,” he wrote back.
“Doubtful,” she replied with a smile on her face as she wrote. She went from the back stage area to the box office area, and the attendant gave her the ticket Jon had arranged for her. It felt weird to be holding a ticket for a seat when she had an all access pass around her neck. She decided to go out and grab a bite to eat and follow Jon’s suggestion. She let the tour manager know that she had the night off and would be enjoying the show as a fan tonight, and left to take a walk. Before she did, she slipped her all access pass inside of her purse.  Madrid was a beautiful city, and it was a beautiful summer day. She wandered around and found a quaint little outdoor cafĂ© where she ordered dinner for herself. She knew it was probably along the same route that the guys would take going to the venue. Sure enough just after she ordered, she heard a whistle and looked up to see the guys had stopped on the side of the road. Jon was looking out the window and he grinned at her.
“Hey beautiful! What’s a girl like you sitting all alone for?”
She grinned back at him. “I’m meeting my boyfriend later for a concert. I’m just waiting on dinner first. He had to work today so couldn’t join me.”
Luckily the area was quiet, because Jon leapt out of the car and ran over to her, and planted a firm, hard kiss on her lips. “Screw the boyfriend. Come with us instead.”
She laughed, and shook her head, playing along. “Nope. He promised me the night off, and I really want to see this concert tonight. Maybe you’ve heard of the band? Bon Jovi?”
“Come with me and I’ll take you backstage,” he teased.
She pretended to think about it. “Only if I get to have my way with Jon.”
He kissed her and lowered his sunglasses at her, still playing. “You can have your way with me any time you want. “
She batted her eyelashes, “Oh my gosh. You’re him. I love you!” she said in a silly girly voice.
“Does that mean the boyfriend is forgotten?” he teased, still playing with her.
She smiled at him playfully, “Never. I love him too much.” She said seriously.
He kissed her again. “He’s a very lucky guy.”
“No,” she said. “I’m lucky.”
“I love you,” he said, dropping the game.
“I love you too,” she said, out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a waiter on his way over with a plate of food. “Now, go to work before you’re late for sound check.”
He kissed her again. “See you later baby,” he winked at her as he jogged back to the car. She shook her head laughing. He was such a clown.
